Low-Stock Alerts
Etalasse can tell you when a product or variant is running low, so you have time to restock from your supplier before it sells out and orders get turned away.
Low-stock alerts launch with this release. The page may look slightly different from the description below, but it works the same way.
Reorder point
The reorder point is the stock level that means "time to buy more". As soon as stock drops to or below this number, the item counts as low.
- You can set a reorder point per product and per variant in the Products form.
- If you leave it empty, the shop default is used.
- The shop default starts at 5, and you can change it.
Example: the shop default is 5. One-liter iced coffee sells fast, so its reorder point is 20. Keychains rarely sell, so they're left empty (using 5). You get an alert when the iced coffee is down to 20 and when the keychains are down to 5.
Set the reorder point to what you sell while waiting for your supplier's delivery. For example, if you sell 10 a day and your supplier takes 3 days, set it to at least 30.
Shop alert settings
At the shop level, you can:
- turn low-stock alerts on or off for the whole shop
- change the default threshold used by products without their own reorder point
How you are notified
Instant alerts
As soon as an item's stock drops to or below its reorder point — for example after a sale, a stock adjustment, or a finalized stock count — you get an alert in the Dashboard notification bell and as a push notification.
To avoid repeats, instant alerts are sent at most once per day for each item.
Morning digest
Every morning at 08:00 WIB, you get a daily digest of all items running low. It's handy to read before opening to plan the day's restock.
Stock Alerts list
The Stock Alerts list shows every product and variant that is currently running low, with its current stock and reorder point. Once you add stock through Stock In above the reorder point, the item no longer counts as low.
Stock per branch
If you manage stock per branch, low stock is checked for each branch separately. Example: iced coffee still has 50 at the Kemang branch but only 3 at the Depok branch — you still get an alert for the Depok branch.
Items without alerts
Low-stock alerts only apply to items whose stock is counted. There are no alerts for:
- digital products
- booking products
- rental products that don't use a stock quantity
Suggested daily routine
- read the 08:00 WIB morning digest
- open the Stock Alerts list to see details per product and branch
- reorder from your supplier with a purchase order: Add from reorder suggestions fills in the items and quantities for you (Pro plan)
- receive the goods on that PO, or record them in Stock In if there's no PO
- adjust the reorder point of products that trigger alerts too often or too rarely
