Run daily merchant operations

Use this guide for the normal day-to-day operating loop after the shop is live.

What this guide covers

This flow helps teams handle:

  • customer lookup and follow-up
  • transaction review
  • stock monitoring
  • incoming stock updates
  • sales-related stock reconciliation

1. Review current sales activity

Start from the transaction side when the main question is about recent orders, payment completion, or what happened during a sale.

2. Check the customer record when support or follow-up is needed

Move into Customers when the team needs to identify the buyer, review account history, or connect a transaction to service actions.

3. Review inventory state

Use Inventory to understand whether the stock layer matches current selling activity and whether any items need attention.

4. Record new incoming stock

Use Stock In for supplier deliveries, replenishment, or manual operational correction when inventory needs to increase.

Use Stock Sold to confirm that completed sales reduced stock as expected and to investigate mismatches.

Type: Workflow Diagram
Target: Connected daily operations journey across sales, customers, inventory, stock-in, and stock-sold
Must show: A left-to-right or top-to-bottom flow that starts from sales review, branches into customer lookup, then moves through inventory, stock-in, and stock-sold reconciliation
Purpose: Give merchants a simple mental model for how the main operational pages work together during live business activity

When to start from each page

  • start from Sales when the question is about a transaction
  • start from Customers when the question is about a person or account
  • start from Inventory when the question is about stock state
  • start from Stock In when stock should increase
  • start from Stock Sold when stock was reduced by completed sales

Good operating habits

  • verify the correct merchant or branch context before making changes
  • use transaction records and stock records together when investigating issues
  • confirm important updates after saving them
  • document or follow up on mismatches before they affect live selling
