Service Location and Meeting Links
Each booking service can tell customers where the session happens: at the customer's place, at the provider's place, or online with a meeting link. This is optional and only for Booking shops. A service you do not set up works exactly as before.
Three location modes
In the product form (Booking shops), choose Where is the service?:
| Mode | Meaning | What the customer must give at checkout |
|---|---|---|
| Not specified (default) | no location information | nothing |
| At the customer's place | the provider travels to the customer | a service address |
| At the provider's place | the customer goes to the provider | nothing |
| Online | a remote session | nothing; the order gets a meeting link |
Bookings are never shipped by courier, so shipping is always 0 and there is no shipping step at checkout, whatever the mode.
One order, one mode
An order may only contain services of the same mode. Services with different modes, including a service with a mode next to one without, are refused with a message to book them separately. The customer makes two orders.
Services at the customer's place
For At the customer's place, the storefront checkout requires a service address:
- logged-in customers pick from their address book
- guests fill in the address directly: recipient name, phone, and address (at least 5 characters), plus notes and a map point if they want
The pay button stays blocked until the address is complete. The address is stored on the order and shown in the booking detail with a Navigate link when there is a map point (on the storefront: Open in maps).
Orders created at the POS till or in the Dashboard do not ask for a service address, for example for walk-in customers. The service address is captured when the customer books online, because the storefront always requires it.
At the provider's place and Online do not store a customer address.
Online services and meeting links
For Online services, each booking carries one meeting link. The link is picked once, when the booking is created, from the most specific source:
- the service link (the Default meeting link field in the product form, shown when Online is chosen)
- the provider's default link (the Default meeting link field when editing a seller, or Default meeting link in the seller's own Seller Center profile)
- the shop default link (the Default meeting link field on the Booking Settings page)
- empty, if none is set
Changing a default link does not change existing bookings. To change a single booking, open the booking detail → Edit link (Online bookings that are still active only), then Save link. Clear the field to remove the link.
Link rules: it must start with https://, have a valid host name, contain no spaces and no user:password@, and be at most 500 characters. Invalid links are refused with a clear message.
Who sees the link
- You, staff, and the seller who owns the booking: always, when a link is set. In the POS, staff see the meeting link in the order detail and on the receipt
- The customer: only after the order is paid (for deposit orders, once the deposit is received), and no longer if the booking is canceled or marked no-show. Before payment the storefront shows "The link is shown after payment."
- the link never appears on public product or seller pages
A cashier can only edit the link of bookings that belong to them (see Booking Plans and Roles).
In the Dashboard and storefront
- the booking list and detail show a mode badge; at-customer bookings show a service address block, online bookings show the link with Copy and Open
- product and service pages on the storefront show the mode ("At your place", "At the provider's place", "Online session")
- booking emails and reminders include the location or link when present. See Booking Reminders
- in the seller directory, customers can filter sellers by service mode
