No-shows
If a customer booked and paid but did not come, mark the booking as a No-show. The slot is released, and you decide what happens to the deposit.
No-show marking arrives with this release and is available on every plan.
Marking a no-show manually
Open the booking detail → Mark no-show. Requirements:
- the booking is still active (not canceled) and its order is Paid
- the time is start time + grace or later (the default grace is 0 minutes; set it in the booking policy). If it is too early, the Dashboard shows the earliest allowed time
You then choose what happens to the deposit:
| Choice | Result |
|---|---|
| Keep deposit (default) | deposit forfeited, balance written off, the order stays Paid. Revenue = the deposit you kept |
| Refund deposit | deposit refund due, the order is canceled. Transfer it yourself, then mark deposit refunded |
A booking without a deposit only changes status. An order with many items or bookings is not processed automatically: the status changes, and you settle the money through Refunds.
Marking a no-show never restocks anything (bookings have no stock) and cannot be undone. The customer gets an in-app notification.
Automatic no-show
If you do not want to mark them one by one, switch on Automatic no-show in the booking policy and enter how many minutes after the start (5-1440, not below the grace). The system checks every 10 minutes, and Paid bookings that were not attended are marked no-show with the deposit forfeited.
Automatic no-show keeps customers' deposits without your confirmation. Use it only if you are confident customers check in on time. If customers who arrive late are still served, leave it off or choose a long enough number of minutes.
It is off by default, and it cannot be on at the same time as Complete bookings automatically: automatic no-show fires after the session starts, so it would mark every booking before it could be completed. The Dashboard disables one switch while the other is on. Canceled or no-show bookings are no longer sent reminders.
Canceling a booking
Canceling is different from a no-show:
- by the customer (when allowed): before the refund deadline the deposit is refunded; after it, the deposit is forfeited. The customer sees a preview of the outcome before confirming
- by the merchant (Owner and Admin): the deposit is refunded by default, and you can choose to keep it
- an unpaid booking is simply canceled, nothing to refund
- an order paid in full with no deposit is canceled through the order status, like an ordinary order
In every case the slot is released and can be booked again. The full table of money outcomes is in Deposit and Refund Window.
Seeing the numbers
The booking report cards show total bookings, canceled, no-shows, the no-show rate, and deposits held, refunded, and forfeited. See Booking List and Calendar.
