Media Library

The Media Library keeps every image and file you have ever uploaded in the dashboard in one place. It works like the WordPress "Media Library": find an old image, reuse it without uploading again, add alternative text, and delete what you no longer use.

Open it from the Media Library menu (web: next to Banner; app: Shop → Online Store → Media Library).

What you can do

ActionHow
UploadDrag files onto the page, or click Upload file. Maximum 10 MB per file. Images are automatically downsized (max. 1200 px) and a small version is created so your store stays fast.
Search and filterSearch by name, title, or alternative text. Filter by type (image, document, …), upload month, and Unused only.
View detailsClick a file: size, dimensions, upload date, URL (can be copied), and Used in, the list of products, banners, coupons, the shop logo, and more that use that file.
Fill in alternative textFill in Title, Alternative text, Caption, and Description, then Save. Alternative text describes the image for people who cannot see it.
DeleteDelete permanently in the file details, or select several files and click Delete. A file that is still in use shows a warning with the list of where it is used. If you delete it anyway, the image will be blank in those places.
Sync old imagesImages you uploaded before this feature existed are not recorded yet. Click Sync old images once to add them. The file size of old images shows as "—".

Choosing an image from the library

Every image field (product photos, categories, banners, blog, coupons, memberships, shop logo and cover, and more) now has a Choose from library button. Pick an existing image, then save as usual. For product photos, you can pick several images at once.
