Custom Domain

With Custom Domain, your online storefront can be reached through your own domain (for example your-store.com) instead of the default Etalasse address.

This feature is available on certain subscription plans — see Billing & Plans.

Why use your own domain​

  • strengthens your store's brand in the eyes of customers
  • the address is easier to remember and share
  • campaign links and printed material look more professional

Before you start​

  • you already own a domain from a registrar (domain provider)
  • you can access that domain's DNS settings
  • your subscription plan includes the custom domain feature

(1) Enter the domain, (2) copy the CNAME and TXT records into your registrar's DNS settings, then (3) click Verify. The status moves from Not verified to Live & secured.

How to connect a domain​

  1. open Custom Domain from the Dashboard navigation
  2. enter the domain name you want to connect
  3. add the requested DNS records (a TXT record for ownership verification and a CNAME to point the domain) in your registrar's DNS settings
  4. wait for verification — DNS changes can take up to several hours
  5. once verified, your storefront is reachable through that domain

Common issues​

  • verification fails — make sure the TXT and CNAME records match exactly what was requested, with no extra spaces
  • domain not resolving yet — DNS propagation can be slow; wait and try again
  • feature not visible — check whether your plan includes custom domains
