Onboard your first seller (multivendor)

Use this guide if your shop is a multivendor shop and you are ready to welcome the first vendor selling on your platform.

Multivendor is available from the Pro plan, and the Sellers and Seller Withdrawals menus only appear for multivendor shops. A seller is a vendor selling their own products on your platform, unlike a reseller who resells your products. Full details are in Sellers (Multivendor).

1. Set the rules before opening sign-ups

Turn on Multivendor in the shop settings, then decide:

  • Seller approval: MANUAL (you approve every applicant, recommended for your first sellers) or AUTO (applicants become active immediately)
  • Default commission: percent or a fixed amount per unit for all sellers. Commission starts at 0, so set it before the first seller sells if the shop should earn a share
  • Minimum withdrawal
  • (optional) a payout hold, verification documents, and the seller sign-up page

2. Accept applicants

Your customers apply to become sellers from the storefront. In MANUAL mode they are PENDING: open Sellers, review their details, then Approve or Reject. In the mobile app you can also add a seller manually from an existing customer. Only ACTIVE sellers can sell and withdraw.

3. Set the seller's commission (optional)

If this seller differs from the rest, set their commission in the seller's detail. Clear it to follow the shop default.

4. Check the seller's products

Seller products become part of your catalog straight away. Review their first products (price, description, images) in the catalog before you promote them. If a seller needs to be stopped for a while, Suspend them: their products disappear from the storefront.

5. Monitor sales and balances

A seller's earnings reach their balance when an order completes. In the seller's detail see the balance and ledger, filter orders by seller in Sales, and open the Sellers report for gross, commission, net, refunds, paid out, and balance.

6. Handle withdrawal requests

  1. the seller requests a withdrawal
  2. you approve or reject (with a reason) in Seller Withdrawals
  3. the transfer is made, then the withdrawal is marked paid with a reference:
    • OWNER: you transfer to the seller's bank account directly
    • PLATFORM: the Averoa finance team transfers from the shop's online balance, only if that balance is sufficient
  4. the status is recorded as history; a rejected withdrawal returns the money to the seller's balance

Respond on a fixed cadence: sellers who get paid on time are the sellers who stay on your platform.

Good multivendor habits

  • stay on MANUAL mode until you trust the quality of applicants
  • review new sellers' product completeness
  • check the Sellers report regularly, not only when problems arise
  • process payouts on a schedule sellers can predict
  • record rejection reasons clearly so they are easy to explain
