Process your first operational order
Use this guide when training a team member to complete the first real selling flow.
Step 1. Confirm the product is live
Check product details, price, and stock before creating the order.
Step 2. Choose the correct selling surface
Use POS for in-person order entry, or use Catalog or Link for customer-facing order flows.
If Catalog or Link will be used publicly, review surface configuration and public launch readiness before sending customers there.
Step 3. Verify payment method readiness
Make sure the correct payment method is enabled and visible for the intended flow.
Step 4. Complete the order and review the record
After checkout, confirm the sale appears correctly in the relevant operational pages.
Step 5. Review inventory impact
If the product uses stock tracking, verify that inventory updates as expected.
Quick validation checklist
- the product and pricing were correct at checkout
- the payment path completed as expected
- the order can be found again in the correct list or detail page
- stock behavior matches the merchant setup
Best next review pages
- open Sales when the question is about the transaction result
- open Order Detail when the question is about what was sold
- open Inventory or Stock Sold when the question is about stock impact
