Kitchen Display (KDS) per Station
The per-station KDS shows kitchen tickets in the POS, one screen per station. It appears when the shop has kitchen stations; the old Kitchen Display tab remains for shops without stations.
Station tabs and tiles
One tab per station, with a badge for the number of open tickets. Each ticket is a tile coloured by its station, with a title such as Table T7 . #00012 . Round 2, the item list (quantity, name, variant, notes, add-ons), and a red RUSH ribbon for urgent tickets.
Tickets are sorted: rush first, then late, then oldest. Bills that are not yet paid show an unpaid marker.
Timers
| Timer colour | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Normal | Elapsed time is under 75% of the station target |
| Amber | 75% of the target minutes reached |
| Red | Late (past the target) |
Time is measured by the server, so it does not depend on the device clock.
Bump, recall, rush, void
- tap an item row: Preparing; tap again: Ready
- the big Bump button moves the whole ticket to the next stage
- Recall pulls the last bump back
- Rush sets or clears the urgent flag
- Void cancels an item or ticket with an optional reason (does not change the bill)
- bulk bump per station, for example all Ready drinks to Served
Each status is explained in Kitchen Order Flow.
Expo (pass) screen
The expo screen shows tickets from all stations, grouped per bill, so the Bar and Kitchen tickets of one table sit side by side and the pass knows when everything is ready. When all items are Served, the screen offers Mark delivered (only for orders that may be delivered, not unpaid bills). The kitchen itself never changes the order status.
Kitchen role login
Create a staff member with the Kitchen role (KITCHEN) in Staff. This login opens straight on the KDS and may only access:
- the kitchen screen, including bump, recall, void, rush, and print
- viewing stations and routing settings
- shop info, change password, notifications, and push notification registration
Everything else is refused: no sales, orders, money, or customers. A staff member tied to a branch only sees that branch's tickets.
Printing tickets
Each ticket can be printed to a Bluetooth printer at 58 mm or 80 mm width. The printer is chosen by the station's printer label, so Bar tickets come out on the Bar printer. A ticket shows the station name, table, round, a RUSH marker, and the items with their add-ons.
A ticket that was printed before and is printed again is marked reprint. You can also print all tickets of one order or one round at once.
Bluetooth printing depends on your device and printer. Test one ticket at each station before a busy shift.
