Manage Table Bills (F&B)
For F&B shops, cashiers can tidy up table bills directly in the POS: move a bill to another table, merge the bills of two tables, or split one bill into two. Everything is done from the F&B Tables tab in the POS.
Table bill management launches with this release. Button names and screens may differ slightly from the description below, but it works the same way.
When you can use it
- only for Dine In bills
- only for unpaid bills — a bill that has already been paid can't be moved, merged, or split
One table, several bills
A table can now have several open bills at the same time. This helps when two groups share a table and want to pay separately, or after you split a bill. When you open a table in F&B Tables, pick the bill you want to work on.
Move a bill to another table
Use this when guests change seats, for example from indoors to the outdoor area.
- open F&B Tables in the POS and pick the current table
- pick the bill you want to move
- choose the move-table action, then pick the destination table
Everything on the bill moves with it, and the total stays the same.
Merge two tables' bills
Use this when two tables turn out to be one group that wants to pay on one bill.
- open the table whose bill you want to keep
- choose the merge action, then pick the table (or bill) to merge in
- check the new total before continuing
All items from the other bill move onto this bill, and the other bill is closed automatically.
You can't merge when either bill:
- already has a coupon applied
- already uses customer points
- has a payment in progress (for example, a QRIS payment waiting to be paid)
If you need to merge, remove the coupon or points first, or wait until the payment is finished or canceled.
Split a bill by items
Use this when some guests at a table want to pay for their own items.
- open the table and pick the bill
- choose the split-bill action
- mark the items (and quantities) to move to a new bill
- confirm
The marked items move to a new bill on the same table. Both totals are recalculated, including tax and service charge for each bill. Because rounding is done per bill, the two totals together can differ by a few rupiah from the total before the split. This is normal.
Tips for cashiers
- move, merge, or split bills before applying coupons or points and before taking payment
- after splitting a bill, tell the guests the total of each bill so they don't get mixed up
- when a table has several bills, make sure you pick the right one when adding items or taking payment
