Getting Started

Use this page to train a new cashier or merchant staff member on the basic POS workflow.

Basic POS flow

  1. open POS in the correct merchant context
  2. create or start an order
  3. add products or items
  4. confirm quantity and pricing
  5. complete payment
  6. review the final order detail

What staff should know first

  • which products are available for sale
  • what payment methods are accepted
  • how draft orders are used
  • where completed orders can be reviewed

Before going live

  • run a training order
  • confirm pricing looks correct
  • confirm stock behavior if tracked
  • confirm the team knows how to find completed orders

First-day cashier checklist

  • confirm the correct merchant or branch context
  • know how to start a fresh order
  • know when to use draft orders
  • know where to review completed orders
  • understand which payment flows are accepted in practice
