Connect to Gemini
Connect your Etalasse shop to Gemini to ask about and manage your shop in conversation, for example: "Which orders are still unpaid since yesterday?" or "Which products are almost out of stock?"
What you need
- the owner account of an Etalasse shop (staff accounts can't connect apps)
- a shop on the Growth plan or higher
- one of the Gemini products below that can add its own MCP servers
What works today
| Gemini product | Status |
|---|---|
| Gemini app (web and mobile) | Works, but Google has only opened custom apps to personal Google accounts, age 18+, in the United States, in English. In Indonesia the menu usually isn't there yet. |
| Gemini Enterprise | Can't be connected on your own yet. See the explanation below. |
| Gemini CLI | Works. |
Gemini app
Google's requirements: a personal Google account (not a work or school account), age 18 or over, located in the United States, Gemini set to English, and Keep Activity turned on. Apps can only be added from Gemini on the web.
- Open gemini.google.com on a computer.
- Click Settings, then Connected Apps. If it isn't there, open Personal Intelligence first, then Connected Apps.
- Under Custom apps, choose Add a custom app.
- Enter
https://mcp.etalasse.com/mcpand click Next. You don't need to fill in Advanced features. - The Etalasse Dashboard's Connect an AI app page opens. If you're already signed in, check the shop name and email, then tap Allow. If not, sign in as usual (email, Google, or 2FA when it's on) and you come back to this page. Want a different account? Tap Use another account.
- With 2FA on, enter the code from your authenticator app before tapping Allow.
- You're sent back to Gemini. In a chat, type
@and pick Etalasse. Once connected, Etalasse also works in the Gemini mobile app.
Google's own guide: Connect custom apps to Gemini.
Gemini Enterprise
In Gemini Enterprise, a Google Cloud admin adds MCP servers as a Custom MCP Server data store. Google requires the admin to enter a pre-registered Client ID and Client Secret. Etalasse currently uses automatic client registration without a client secret, so this connection can't be set up on your own yet. If your organization uses Gemini Enterprise, contact the Etalasse team through etalasse.com.
Gemini CLI
Add Etalasse with:
gemini mcp add --transport http etalasse https://mcp.etalasse.com/mcp
Or write it directly in ~/.gemini/settings.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"etalasse": {
"httpUrl": "https://mcp.etalasse.com/mcp"
}
}
}
Use httpUrl (Streamable HTTP), not url. Then run /mcp auth etalasse in Gemini CLI and finish signing in in the browser as above.
Google is moving individual users from Gemini CLI to Antigravity CLI. If you use Antigravity, add a remote MCP server with the same URL (in Antigravity's MCP config the field is called serverUrl), then sign in through /mcp.
What Gemini can do
- read orders, products, stock, customers, bookings, promotions and sales reports
- make changes when you ask, such as stock, prices, order status, products, categories and promotions
What this connection can't do:
- see or change your password
- issue refunds, withdraw your balance, pay sellers or pay for a subscription. These stay in the Dashboard.
- act as a shopper in your online store
Every action applies only to the shop of the account you allowed.
Disconnect
Open Settings › Access Tokens in the Dashboard and revoke the Gemini token. Its name follows the connected app and ends in (connector). Gemini loses access right away. In the Gemini app you can also open Settings › Connected Apps, choose More details on Etalasse, then Disconnect or Remove app.
Data and privacy
Gemini only receives the shop data asked for in the conversation, through the tools you allowed. Etalasse doesn't read your Gemini conversation history. The full details are in the Privacy Policy, in the section on AI apps you connect.
